I'm Mathias Hermann. Through Hermann Consulting I help companies design new systems, untangle old ones, and carry out the migrations in between — as a hands-on architect who still writes production code.

Most of my work has been where correctness and uptime are non-negotiable: payments and banking (MobilePay, Danske Bank, Lunar) and energy and commodity trading (MFT Energy, Bunker Holding, AuctionConnect).

I work fluently with AI tooling — in delivery, and in architecture work like RFCs and design docs — which changes what a single senior consultant can realistically take on.
